September 2011 has been a massive month for YMP.
YMP were contracted to quote, design, and operate events for a number of schools around South Eastern Melbourne.
Chelsea Heights Primary School held their concert within their newly built gym. YMP were asked to create a theatre type venue and were able to do this by blacking out all the windows and creating a stage space with lighting and sound. It was able to seat 200+ people.
St Bridget’s Primary School (Mordialloc) held their concert at St. Louis de Montfort Primary School and asked YMP to provide and operate a sound system for the event, which was also filmed by the team at SilverSoules Studios.
Towards the end of September, St. Joesph’s Primary School (Chelsea) held their concert in the St. Bede’s College Theatrette and requested YMP to provide the lighting and sound design and operation for the event. YMP also designed the stage space to allow full use of the area by the staff and students over the 3 performances. Video links were also enabled to allow the students to view the stage from the backstage areas. YMP worked with SilverSoules Studios to be able to record this event with a special audio mix to their equipment.
In addition to these events YMP were asked to return the the annual Kidshaper Conference held in Richmond to provide camera crew for the 3rd year.
Mathew was also busy at St. Bede’s College, working on the lighting and staging design for their school performance of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. Held in the new performing arts centre over 4 nights, this event was a showcase for families and the wider community to see the great new venue at work.
